Job Description

A Water Treatment Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining water treatment systems to ensure clean and safe water supply. They are responsible for analyzing water samples, conducting tests, and implementing treatment processes to remove impurities and contaminants. The role requires strong technical knowledge of water treatment processes and equipment, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise.Responsibilities:

  1. Design and develop water treatment systems based on project requirements.
  2. Analyze water samples and conduct tests to determine the presence of impurities and contaminants.
  3. Implement and monitor treatment processes such as coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, and ion exchange.
  4. Ensure compliance with local and international water quality standards and regulations.
  5. Monitor the performance of water treatment systems and troubleshoot any operational issues.
  6. Maintain accurate records of water quality data, system performance, and maintenance activities.
  7. Coordinate with other engineering and maintenance teams to ensure the smooth operation of water treatment systems.
  8. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential risks and recommend preventive measures.
  9. Stay updated with the latest advancements in water treatment technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
  10. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 8 years of experience in water treatment system design, preferably with a BS degree in Environmental, Water, or Chemical Engineering from a well-known university.
  2. Experience in water treatment plant operations and good knowledge of liquid and chemical materials related to STP (sewage treatment plant).
  3. At least 2 years of experience in Operation and Maintenance projects.
  4. Proficiency in speaking and writing in English language.
  5. Resident in Saudi Arabia with a Transferable Iqama (work permit).
