Job Description

Faithful+Gould are currently looking for a Development Director in Al Ula KSA, with demonstrated experience on large scale projects.Faithful+Gould is a hands-on project delivery organisation that has moulded its business to respond to the demands of the nations in which it operates. Our end-to-end project delivery solution is focused on best maximising project outcomes while minimising project risk for our Clients.Job Purpose:Drive the development and management of the strategic business function and approach for the SCZ Department. Working cross-functionally to ensure that the full vision of the SCZ sector and RCU are fully aligned to ensure all assets being realized within the Special Cultural Zones are fulfillingthe vision for AlUla and Journey Through Time masterplan. Working cross-functionally with a full range of stakeholders throughout a RIBA 0-6 lifecycle. The Development Value chain will act as proponent and/or asset owner forselected culturally sensitive projects. Controlled and managedthrough agreed commercial and business strategies, development briefs, assetmanagement approaches and businesscases, financial modeling, and end-of-use modeling, amongst other requirements forselected villages and assets.Functional Responsibilities:

  • Develop overall strategy for the Special Cultural Zones Development function within the Development, Design & Implementation vertical that aligns with the sector objectives
  • Manage and oversee RIBA 0-2 programs either as proponent or asset owner
  • Manage and oversee the contracting process and oversee the performance of vendors and stakeholders.
  • Development and project planning as dictated by RIBA phases alleging with and the Master Plans of each asset. here needed and the engagement of appropriate vendors in line with tendering guidelines outline within the agreed sector strategy
  • Oversee the preparation and coordinate strategies for Development Sector procurement recommending methodology according to project needs, design submissions, and construction work programs.
  • Challenge and stress test the functionality, sensibility and feasibility of proposed use/development requirements/direction of the assets that will that fall under the Development value chain ownership
Managerial Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the sectors short- and long term strategy from the Departments perspective in
  • line with RCU overall vision and mission.
  • Develop the Departments strategy, objectives, and KPIs annual operational plans and ensure
  • plan execution is meeting the targets.
  • Prepare and submit the Departments annual budget for approval taking all planned activities
  • and ownership role(Sole to Support Services) are taken into consideration by monitoring the financial performance and impact of the agreed business and commercial cases/strategies
  • Oversee the development, maintenance, implementation and adherence of the department policies and procedures as well as the overall performance of the department and ensure KPIs are well developed, cascaded, communicated and monitored.
  • Ensure effective staffing, professional development and deployment of staff of the sector in consultation with the Sector Executive
  • Direct the Departments connection to its stakeholder, whether internal or external, to ensure RCU needs are met effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Development Architecture, Design and Construction Management
  • 15+ Years of relevant experience with 5 years in a managerial role
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
  • Written and Oral proficiency of English language.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Design skills and knowledge
  • Knowledge of Concept Architecture, Design, Construction, Operational Functions
