Job Description

Job Summary:The Spare Parts electrical Planner is responsible for managing and coordinating the spare parts inventory for mechanical equipment within an organization. This role involves analyzing equipment maintenance requirements, forecasting spare parts needs, managing inventory levels, and ensuring timely procurement and availability of spare parts. The Spare Parts electrical Planner will collaborate with maintenance teams, vendors, and stakeholders to optimize inventory levels, minimize equipment downtime, and support efficient maintenance operations.Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze equipment maintenance requirements and develop a comprehensive understanding of electrical spare parts needs for various equipment types.
  • Collaborate with maintenance teams to identify critical spare parts, establish stock levels, and define minimum and maximum inventory thresholds.
  • Forecast spare parts demand based on maintenance schedules, historical data, equipment reliability, and other relevant factors.
  • Develop and maintain a spare parts catalog, including part numbers, descriptions, lead times, and other relevant information.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of spare parts, taking into account lead times, availability, and cost considerations.
  • Monitor and track spare parts inventory levels, replenish stock as needed, and implement measures to optimize inventory turnover and minimize obsolescence.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to identify discrepancies, reconcile stock levels, and ensure accuracy of inventory records.
  • Collaborate with maintenance planners and technicians to ensure the availability of spare parts for scheduled maintenance activities and respond to unplanned equipment breakdowns.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiate pricing and terms, and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements in mechanical equipment, and changes in spare parts availability, and proactively adjust inventory management strategies as needed.
Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Associate or bachelors degree in a relevant field is a plus.Min 2 years of experience in spare parts planning or inventory management, preferably in a electrical or industrial setting.
