Job Description

Aramco, one of the worlds leading integrated energy and chemicals companies, and international contract logistics provider DHL Supply Chain have announced the signing of a shareholders agreement for a to establish a New Company for Procurement and Logistics Hub in Saudi Arabia, to enhance supply chain efficiency and sustainability. It would be the regions first such hub catering to customers in the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors. The joint venture aims to be operational in 2025 and provide reliable end-to-end integrated procurement and supply chain services for companies across the industrial, energy, chemical and petrochemical sectors. Our focus customers in the short term will be Saudi Aramco and its own Affiliates. And in the long term would be all the industrial sectors within Saudi Arabia and the ultimate goal is to reach the MENA region in future.Currently, we are seeking a dynamic person to take on the role of Supplier Management Specialist, to be hired for this JV based in Al Khobar.Objective:

  • The Supplier Management Specialists primary responsibility is to manage and enhance supplier relationships, execute supplier assessments, and support the implementation of procurement strategies within his/her designated category. The role holder will play a critical role in ensuring supplier performance improvements and supply chain efficiency.
General Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, acting as a liaison between the Company and its suppliers to ensure smooth communication and cooperation.
  • Collaborate with commodity technical experts to conduct supplier assessments based on technical specifications, quality requirements, and performance evaluations.
  • Work closely with suppliers to identify areas of improvement and develop action plans to enhance their performance, including quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Support supplier development initiatives to ensure that suppliers meet Companys standards and expectations.
  • Assist the category teams in implementing procurement strategies and initiatives within your designated category.
  • Utilize data and performance metrics to monitor supplier performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to supplier assessments and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend training and development interventions for team members to build their capabilities.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for the continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices to increase productivity and operational efficiency.
  • Implement all relevant Departments policies, processes, procedures, and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
  • Contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports to meet departmental requirements, policies and standards.
Qualification:
  • Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is required.
  • Masters degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university is preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in oral and written English.
  • 0-3 years experience in a similar role.
