Job Description

Parsons is looking for a Technical Manager to join our team on a major infrastructure program in Riyadh!What Youll Be Doing: Reviews and approves discipline staffing assignment schedules on each project. Maintains appropriate staffing level, including temporary personnel, as needed. Reviews and approves staff forecasting reports. Manages all engineering and design efforts for all disciplines required for the program. Coordinates all discipline staffing requirements for the program. Monitors the quality and progress of the designs on each project, ensuring that production requirements are satisfied. Works closely with Project Managers to resolve any existing or forecasted problems related to discipline staffing, quality of work, schedule performance, or productivity. Establishes standards and procedures manuals for the discipline. Recommends improvements to department procedures. Supports pre-contract and business development efforts as required, serving as technical consultant. The technical manager will be guiding the design consultants on the regulations and policies to be followed, reviews the effort submitted by others (however liability remains with the design consultant or the PMC) and ensures that the design is in line with the requirements and budget in coordination with the commercial team and project management.What Required Skills Youll Bring: Strong knowledge on Roads and infrastructure planning and design. Experience on mobility systems will be a plus. Proven technical leadership experience in development and implementation of large scale, complex Roads/Infrastructure projects. Excellent working knowledge using MS Excel, AutoCAD, MS Project and Powerpoint. More than 20 years of experience. Fluency in English. Fluency in Arabic is beneficial. Solid understanding in all phases of major roads projects Solid understanding with major roads program requirements in a Master Planning and Urban Design context and processes , with national or regional government entities and/or with property and infrastructure developers Proven ability to work in a customer facing/consulting environment Experience delivering projects through all phases of the lifecycle Strong analytical skills, creativity, and communication skills . Strong Presentation skills Strong understanding & experience in Sustainability and specifically the relationship between Smart and Sustainable Cities What Desired Skills Youll Bring: Excellent planning and organization skills Strong understanding in an asset intensive industry i.e., Rail, Aviation, Cities and buildings, Utilities, Oil & Gas, Rail, Highways and Marine/Ports Some appreciation of the Smart Cities Landscape in the Middle East Shows flexibility in tasks and location, and deals well with ambiguityMinimum Clearance Required to Start: Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
