Job Description

Responsible for the day-to-day tasks of bakery, food preparation, baking, cooking, and decorating. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads.Follow recipes and standards to produce high-quality pastries according to kitchen specifications.Ensure that all pastries are of consistent quality and presentation.Taste products during preparation to maintain flavor and quality standards.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and associated equipment.Assist with inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies and ingredients.Ensure all ingredients are fresh and stored properly.Adhere to all food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.Maintain a safe and organized work environment.Requirements and Qualifications:Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification.Specialization in pastry and baking preferred.Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen.Experience in a high-volume kitchen is a plus.Proficient in various pastry techniques and baking methods.Strong understanding of dessert presentation and plating.Ability to innovate and create new dessert recipes and presentation styles.Strong sense of flavor profiles and trends in pastry.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with kitchen staff.Strong focus on quality, consistency, and attention to detail in both preparation and presentation.
