To set up and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines for cutting & production and to ensure production plans are met. A successful CNC machine operator to be safety-focused and understands the importance of precision and quality. Responsibilities:? Performing visual inspections on incoming raw materials and verifying it with drawing requirements? Operating CNC machines properly by creating cutting programs manually on the machine or by importing cutting files.? Reading and interpreting drawings? Producing cut parts and items to meet dimensional tolerances without defects.? Monitor quality by taking measurements, detecting malfunctions, adjusting and reprogramming control.? Awareness of different types of CNC machines (coping rolled section, pipe profiling, plate cutting) and different types of materials (carbon steel and stainless steel).? Adhere to quality assurance procedures and processes.? Comply with all applicable safety procedures and policiesSkills Required? Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.? Good technical skills in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and sketches.? Experience in operating CNC machines for at least 4 to 5 years? Experience in operating CNC machines that are equipped with plasma.? Dedication to safe working practices? Ability to solve problems with a strong attention to details? Ability to work independently and as part of a team? Ability to work for assigned hours plus overtime as needed? May require to stand for long duration. Preferred CNC machine past experience:?
