Development Director (Middle East)Dubai About the Opportunity:MRG Global is proud to be tasked to source for the new appointment of an innovative Development Director (Middle East).Our client is a luxury, multi-brand hotel operator dedicated to delivering top-end excellence and customer satisfaction to their guests and visitors across various locations across the world. The brand is well known in the market and seeped in history and legacy. The successful incumbent will be selected for their prowess to establish a long-term, sustainable business in the GCC region. Investment in people and the planet is more important than short-term profit.Role Overview:You will hold a crucial position in shaping the future by sourcing and developing leads for potential development projects in the Middle East region to support strategic growth. Your primary objective will be to drive the acquisition and disposition of company-owned properties, joint ventures and management contracts for the Groups brands.Key Responsibilities:The chosen candidate will:

  • Develop and manage business relationships with prospective owners and partners
  • Execute and develop strategies and annual plans for the distribution of the Group to include acquisition and disposition goals within the projected timeframes within the Middle East region.
  • Negotiating and closing deals on wholly-owned acquisitions, joint ventures and management contracts
  • Prepare and present development opportunities and proposals to appropriate parties to support the Groups business strategies.
  • Identifying alternative strategies and vehicles for financing and/or restructuring of real estate loans which facilitate cost-efficient deal structuring and partnering opportunities. Ensuring deals meet desired projections on revenues and returns.
  • Understand the vision of the development trend and hotelss future requirements
Qualifications and Experience:Applicants should possess:
  • MBA preferred
  • BS/BA in Business, Finance or Real Estate or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and hospitality experience preferred.
  • 10 years experience in commercial real estate or business partnerships and retail/hospitality companies.
  • Gravitas, integrity and a high level of EQ.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and consensus-building skills.
  • Ideally Arabic speaking or culturally well versed in the market.
