Job Description

Theÿ Housekeeping Manager is responsible for ensuring that the hotel displays a standard of cleanliness up to the standards established in order to guarantee guest satisfaction. The General Housekeeper is responsible for overseeing all operational housekeeping and laundry services. The role of the General Housekeeper is to constantly ensure compliance with quality standards and to contribute to the profitability of the hotel through effective cost control. She must meet the defined goals of customer satisfaction and team member satisfaction. She is also responsible for the training and development of team members.MAIN RESPONSABILITES:Technical Business and customer relationship:úÿÿÿÿÿÿSupervises the operational activities of housekeeping and laundry servicesúÿÿÿÿÿÿManages budgets based on occupancy rate and forecasts; develops the personnel schedule accordinglyúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿEvaluates changes in customer needs, customer composition and the competitive landscape, in order to propose operational and product / service changes that are required, if necessaryúÿÿÿÿÿÿAnticipates and resolves problems with customers and implements proactive processes aimed at promoting Customer satisfactionTeam Management/ Cross-functional involvement:As a coach manager, he/she:úÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsures working conditions and the atmosphere within his departmentúÿÿÿÿÿÿKnows and applies the groups recruitment charterúÿÿÿÿÿÿImplements directives, policies and procedures for supervised operational servicesúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿManage activities and create a working environment conducive to the objective?s achievement.úÿÿÿÿÿÿÿManages performance issues that arise within supervised operational departmentsúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿIs an integral part of the operations team, attends all scheduled meetings and actively contributes by being prepared properlyúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿInterviews, selects, trains, evaluates, supervises and advises department managers / staff, in accordance with hotel criteriaúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿCommunicate effectively with team membersúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿMeets daily with team members to discuss key current activitiesúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿInteracts positively with other services to guarantee customers the welcome expected from a high-end establishmentúÿÿÿÿÿÿÿSet an example by scrupulously respecting the MGallery Values, brand codes, instructions concerning dress, presentation and vouch for the image of its employees in line with the brands codes.Hygiene/ Personal safety / Environment:úÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsures compliance with local health and safety regulationsúÿÿÿÿÿÿEnsures the cleanliness of his workplace and the proper functioning of the equipment made available to himúÿÿÿÿÿÿKnows and applies the procedures to be followed in the event of a fire evacuationúÿÿÿÿÿÿKnows and applies the Planet 21 program policyDNA Brand:úÿÿÿÿÿÿI am authenticúÿÿÿÿÿÿI share storiesúÿÿÿÿÿÿI am generousúÿÿÿÿÿÿI personalizeWork ExperienceREQUIRED SKILLS:úÿÿÿÿÿÿWork ability effectively in a team and sense of initiativeúÿ ÿ ÿ French language fluently and English as required by the hotelúÿÿÿÿÿÿAt least 5 years of experience in the management of a housekeeping service, preferably in the luxury or high-end sectorúÿÿÿÿÿÿExcellent understanding of operational control, budgeting, forecasting and planning activitiesúÿÿÿÿÿÿExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenúÿÿÿÿÿÿAbility to train team members and develop their skillsúÿÿÿÿÿÿExcellent organizational skillsúÿÿÿÿÿÿComputer skills (word processing and spreadsheet, OPERA )ÿ
