About Us:Markaz is on the mission to supercharge the rails of e-commerce for the common man in Pakistan. We want to empower the Pakistani middle class, with a special focus on women who are currently not part of the Pakistani financial ecosystem, and help establish hundreds of thousands of new online entrepreneurs in the coming years. We enable anyone in Pakistan to start their online business withÿzeroÿinvestment from the comfort of their home and make money by selling products through different social media channels like WhatsApp and Facebook. All they have to do is download the Markaz app, get access to 1,000s of products, share them on their social media with a profit margin and get orders. Our job would be to enable you to become the best version of yourself and help you achieve your own personal goals along with our mission!About the Role:As the People Operations Lead, you will be the driving force behind the planning, implementation, and management of our HR practices and policies. You will work closely with all levels of management to foster a positive and productive work environment that promotes growth, teamwork, and innovation. You will provide guidance, support, and advice on a wide range of HR matters to ensure that all employees are treated fairly and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Responsibilities:

• Be first point of contact to support our People with any questions/help they need on a day to day basisÿ
• Strengthen Markaz?s position as an attractive employer
• Identify opportunities for improvement of our employee experience initiatives, aligning these with our values and culture.
• Act as a subject matter advisor to resolve employee queries and provide information, training and consultancy on the applicable laws, HR processes, employee relations, disciplinary actions, benefits, holidays, etc.
• Partner with business leaders to identify HR needs and develop tailored solutions to support specific goals and initiatives.
• Continuously assess HR processes and identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
• Research trends and changes in workforce management to develop effective, inclusive, and equitable talent management strategies.

Skills:

• Bachelor?s degree in Human Resources/ Organizational Psychology
• 3-5 years of HR / People Operations experience, preferably at a high-growth tech company / start-up
• A flexible, can-do attitude and the ability to build trustful relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience building, maintaining and presenting HR data analytics
• Passionate about people and how they function together to create a valuable organization
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
