Special Needs Teachers required at a school in Kuwait.Overall the school is in a transformational phase, this new department will service a section of the Kuwaiti student population presently unsupported. It will be a challenge but also an opportunity to design and actuate an outstanding service that will be utilized by parents across Kuwait.This role will include developing and supporting effective practices for children with SLD, PMLD, CLDD, other challenging behaviour and additional needs. There will be a heavy focus on providing ?quality first? teaching, monitoring pupil progress, as well as, introducing and embedding associated paperwork for statutory assessment within this unique department.The role requires extensive knowledge and insight of the SEND Code of Practice. Define appropriate activities for the students in relation to the curriculum. Assess students who have long or short-term learning difficulties and work with colleagues to identify individual student special needs. Liaise with other professionals, such as social workers, speech therapists, physiotherapists and educational psychologists. Liaise closely with parents and guardians to enable students to make academic progress and overcome social and emotional barriers to learning. They will also promote the schools ethos, vision, policies and procedures at all times.Required Qualifications:
