Job Description

Overview About the job:

  • The irrigation engineer should be responsible for producing detailed operation, technical and cost analysis for irrigation options. Also, he has the role of developing detailed design of irrigation and drainage networks for selected irrigation methods.
  • He must be able to collect data and analyze it to come up with Operation, Technical and Cost analyses that can improve efficiency. Additionally, he will be responsible for setting up water users associations and helping manage infrastructure.
  • An Irrigation Engineer is the one who analyzes plans, and designs and irrigation systems that are used for distributing water to land that is used for agriculture. This would include canals, barrages, drains, dams, and other supporting systems.
