Job Summary:Insure correct identification of patients before each examination. Inspect all equipments under his or her control on a regular daily basis and ensures that the equipments under his control a regular daily basis and ensures that the equipments are kept clean and ready at all times.? Duties and Responsibilities:o Carry out routine radiologic examinations in line with the agree policies and procedures of the department.o Participate in departmental Rota including on-call and overtime duties as required by radiology services demands.o Ensure that the unit is ready and safe for examinations. Perform basic cleaning of equipment on a regular daily basis or more often as required.o Responsible for safe handling of equipment and films.o Responsible for the care and safety of patients undergoing treatment and use of equipment to minimize hazards of electric shock, burns and extraneous radiation to patients.o Assesses, evaluates and informs physician of changes in patient?s condition during exam.o Selects appropriate equipment to use for procedure.o Determines most suitable anatomical posture and positions and shields patients accordingly.o Meets dress code standards; appearance in neat and clean.o Is acquainted with local fire and safety regulations.o Wears identification while on duty; uses computerized punch time system correctly.o Is responsible to assist the evaluation of Radiology department quality control monitoring.
