Job Description

Join us and become a part of our great team.Your Role The primary function of the role is to supervise the port operations in Egypt for the Vestas Wind Farm Project with an overall company strategy to maintain profitable operations.Duties and responsibilities are carried out in line with Corporate policies and in close partnership with corporate resources and other business fields and functional units. Your Responsibilities

  • Coordination, management and follow up on Customs Clearance activities
  • Leads planning activates in coordination with stakeholders and subcontractors (vessel arrival, transport asset mobilization etc.)
  • Supervises port operations including vessel discharge, port transport, storage, blade rotation, loading and dispatch of cargo
  • Ensures that relevant stakeholders are kept updated on all port operations and planning activities
  • Investigates and supports problem solving˙ of cargo handling, receipt, storage and dispatch operations
  • Identifies and addresses saving potentials.˙˙
  • Follow and ensure compliance with Vestas transport processes and standards including the correct usage of our Transport˙ Management˙ System (TMS & ITM)
  • Ensures efficientoperations and continuously optimizes the operations and increases productivityby implementing standard processes in line with corporate guidelines andtargets
  • Co-operates in thedevelopment and implementation of business operation and reporting systems.Responsible forhandling shipments documentations including proper and timely filing
  • ˙A safety champion, always acting as an exampleto others, consistently promoting safe working practices
  • Strictly adhere toQSHE directives (incl. Code of Conduct, Ethical Behavior, FCPA etc.) andensure they are implemented and applied within the department
Your Skills and Experiences
  • Bachelors/First University Degree in Economic, SCM/Logistics or Engineering
  • Freight forwarding, logistics operations from Logistics Service Provider of Manufacturing/Retail (min 2 years)
  • Project Management and Supply Chain Management knowledge is a plus
  • Fluent in English (Spoken and Written)
  • Strong customer orientation
  • Self-starter and result oriented
  • Commercial Acumen
  • Problem Solving and analytical skills
