The individual in this position will serve as a resource within the Department of Contracting, Logistics and Supply Chain for questions and issues arising in connection with contract terms, processes, procedures and systems. The person in this role is also responsible for facilitating process improvements and participating in departmental planning and implementation of strategic goals.The Contract Specialist will be proactive and detail oriented, i.e., an individual with a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with clients to achieve the business and operational goals and objectives, while identifying and managing risk. The ideal candidate is a team player with a great attitude and the ability to balance competing priorities. This individual also utilises critical thinking skills to interpret the information necessary for reviewing and drafting agreements and can plan a course of action for addressing issues.
