Job Description

  • Manages financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Creates variance analysis reports and financial models.
  • Leads real-time financial performance monitoring.
  • Escalates any financial issues to management.
  • Sets and tracks key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives.
  • Completes market research and comparable company analysis, analysis of past financial performance along with commentary for management.
  • Recommends strategies for increasing financial performance.
  • Presents detailed monthly financial reports to managers.
  • Uses popular financial planning and analysis software if required.
  • Manages more-junior financial planning analysts or accountants.
  • Collaborates with senior members of the accounting and finance teams.
  • Preparing and assisting in financial and strategic plans for individual departments and the wider organization as and when required.
  • Assist in building annual budgets and forecasts for different business units and consolidating into one master budget.
  • Creating financial models to predict growth and forecast performance.
  • Analysing previous budgets and forecasts and performing variance analysis to explain discrepancies.
  • Evaluating new and existing projects, investments, and assets to determine their validity and appraise their value.
  • Recommending improvements and use of financing structures such as debt and equity when appropriate.
  • Awareness of tax and zakat regulations, transfer pricing, local statutory laws including but not limited to company law.
  • Awareness of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), hands on experience is preferred
  • Any other adhoc tasks as advised by reporting manager
  • ˙SAP/ MS Dynamics
  • Knowledge of SOCPA standards/ IFRS, Income Tax, Zakat, VAT & WHT
  • Popular FP&A software
