and QualificationsPurposeAn empowered, energetic EHS professional responsible for making the Jazan Integrated Gases and Power Company (JIGPC) Project Delivery department, the safest projects organisation to work for.This position reports to the Site EHS Manager and provides overall projects EHS leadership to ensure compliance with Project Delivery, JIGPC, Saudi Aramco EHS requirements as well as national EHS related policies and governmental regulations.The candidate will be responsible for promoting a culture of safe working habits, improving safety performance, and implementing project strategies as it relates to the environment, health and safety.In addition, the candidate will assist with planning, establishing, implementing and maintaining a wide variety of activities encompassing all aspects of occupational health, safety, fire prevention, as well as project delivery contractor management programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for all employees and contractors involved with our projects.Nature & Scope

  • To act as a project site competent person for EHS, provide general EHS support and counsel.
  • Assist in implementing JIGPC Project Delivery EHS philosophy and requirements while ensuring it?s aligned it with JIGPC and Saudi Aramco EHS policies and standards.
  • To provide EHS guidance, expertise, and technical support to project delivery employees and contractors in the identification, measurement and control of EHS risks.
  • To analyze and understand project and construction operations, determining their impact on industrial plant safety, employee safety, health and the environment, and work with plant operations personnel to develop and comply with Operations EHS policies and procedures.
  • To develop, implement, train, counsel and enforce EHS policies and procedures consistent with JIGPC Project Delivery EHS requirements.
  • To at all times act professional and with the highest integrity in all JIGPC Project Delivery matters.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Conduct Project Delivery Contractor EHS Qualification Assessments.
  • Design and execute EHS campaigns in order to enhance Project Delivery employees and Contractors? EHS culture and raise awareness.
  • Collect and analyze project and contractors? EHS performance data on weekly and monthly basis for completeness, accuracy, and remediation.
  • Engage in emergency planning and make sure that all emergencies likely to occur at projects and contractors? sites have been identified, documented and an effective emergency response plan has been developed, implemented and regularly tested and evaluated. Ensure necessary training requirements for staff relevant to specific emergency plans has been completed and records kept thereof.
  • Review implementation of chemical hygiene program and hazardous waste management program.
  • Inspect project and contractor sites, machinery, and safety equipment to evaluate the effectiveness of the EHS systems and procedures, identify potential hazards, and make recommendations to eliminate, isolate or minimize exposure to risks resulting from the hazards and agreed controls have been actioned and remain in place.
  • Participate in incident investigations to determine root causes and develop preventative measures to prevent recurrence as soon as possible after the event is reported.˙
  • Identify good practices and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce/eliminate worker risks, raise awareness and improve safe work practices.˙
  • Identify and project and contractor EHS training needs and ensure training is conducted as planned.
  • Monitor contractor EHS management program implementation and correct any deviation with zero tolerance.
  • Regularly audit/inspect Project Delivery Contractors laydown yards and facilities for EHS compliance.
  • Participating in major JIGPC plant shutdowns, ensuring the safety of all project activities during these processes.
  • Support in˙EHS˙procurements process and stock management process.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Project Delivery EHS Supervisor and/or Manager.
