Job Description

Job PurposeTo classify materials based on their categories such as operational spares, Insurance, General Spares, Consumables, etc. Additionally, to identify and link spares to associate equipment tag numbers To validate, inspect, control and load information into materials masters using existing ERP template or create a new template in accordance with the protocols of cataloguing proceduresalregulations, propose improved manufacturing processes and applying new technologies.Role responsibilities:. Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and control, within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high[1]quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.. Ensure compliance with EHSM, IMRS and Responsible.. Performs the commonality and duplicate resolution of spares.. Update specific inspection of spares in the material master inspection using the recommendation of the end users.. Shall take efforts in coordination with Procurement and Maintenance end user to identify the spares which can be procured locally to substitute imports.. Create and maintain material master data thru MDG (Material Data Governance).. Create and maintain bill of materials in coordination with the end user.. Review and ensure that collected material master data is complete and meets the required standards.. Data cleansing and enrichment.. Maintain Data Consistency, Configuration and accuracy in accordance with established protocols and conventions.. Used data supplied by supplier/ manufacturer/ end user to enter catalogue records. Define Material/ Item Classification, spares, general or consumable using the item type definitions.. Check to ensure that the item doesnt already exist in the inventory.. Maintain Material Data Integrity and accuracy.. Prepare ad-hoc/p. Communicate with Global Material Cataloguing in the management of the SAP Material Master function (MDG SAP Power User). Acting as a point of contact for business queries.. Communicate with maintenance operations and supplier with the consent of procurement.. Communicate with SAP consultant for any issues related to the material master.. Align with the Material management section for any changes in material master such as stock levels, criticality and all MRP attributes.. Align with the Warehouse Management for the proper storage type allocation of spares. . Direct report to Superintendent, Warehouse.. As a senior member of the maintenance department team contribute to the formulation and implementation of section strategy and plans, to achieve the department needs and objectives.. Attend daily meetings with Warehouse staff, to ensure continued operability of the WH-operations and discuss improvements in processes.. Intervene in cases of in top urgent/emergency material requests to ensure that plants return online in the quickest possible.. Review the data analysis (materials consumption, OSDE, OSDR, overall inventory and forecasted demand) for different spare parts prepared by the team to ensure that all parts are readily available to minimize downtime.. Assist the Plant Maintenance emergency shutdowns, planned shutdowns and TAMs by providing the enquired services to insure optimum business. Oversee the effort to involve external support (vendors or suppliers) or other departments called in by the supervisors to lend technical expertise.Qualification and Requirements:

  • Diploma of relevant experience in the relevant Industry OR Bachelors degree in engineering.
  • 8 - 15 years of relevant experience in the relevant Industry.
