Job Description

Main Accountabilities:

• Supervise andÿ and control laboratory and process activities. Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
• Complete documentation needed to support testing procedures; including data capture forms, equipment logbooks, or inventory forms.
• Ensure the compliance with the guaranties of the plant.
• Control process chemicals and parameters.
• Optimize Process efficiency on daily basis.
• Charge of implementing, maintaining, ensuring evolutions & promoting the Management System and the performance in the area under her scope and training employees.

Detailed

• Documenting / Recording and Analyzing Information: Daily Analysis for sludge and water, daily monitoring of deodorization, daily chemicals consumption, daily kWh consumption.
• Observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources.
• Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
• Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.

Laboratory:

• Assist & manage the lab technician in the needed laboratory activities on wastewater and sludge.
• Provide guidance and training on new tests.
• Control the daily analysis data and ensure that values are within contractual limits.
• Control the monthly lab stock (Lab chemicals and kits consumption).
• Order products for the lab when needed.
• Send periodic samples of water and sludge to external labs for cross check.
• Perform lab trials on new chemicals for the process (e.g.: polyelectrolyte).

Process:

• Provide guidance & process in order to maintain and secure the contractual guaranties.
• Provide guidance to optimize the chemical and energy consumption.
• Close follow-up and daily control of the process in order to identify any possible drift that may lead to non-conformity.
• Calculation for needed quantities of process chemicals based on lab results.
• Assist production team in start-up of new sections and provide chemical info.
• Daily follow-up on chemical consumption.
• Daily follow-up on kWh consumption.
• Ensure that chemical and kWh consumption is within limits.
• Order chemicals for the Process.

• Quality:

• Lead and improve the management system in collaboration with process owners:
• processes, procedure and related documents with process owners.
• Support the management in improvement actions.
• Perform internal audits for the entity scope.
• Manage entity? internal audit program.
• Manage the local certifications (ISO and others).
• Manage, follow up, update progress and verify the effectiveness of the action plans related to the entities and to the audits conducted inside her perimeter (both internal and external).
• Support entity? top management in the production of strategic documentation; context of the organization, needs and expectations of interested parties, risks and opportunities, management review, objectives, etc.ÿ
• Ensure the production of the Entity Dashboard (KPI), supporting processes? responsible in their definition and follow up.
• Create new procedures / documents and manage their implementation.
• Identification and management of Non Conformities at Entity level. Especial focus to root cause analysis and action effectiveness.
• Support customer satisfaction process.
• Warn every potentially dangerous situation to her / his management.

Reporting:

• Validation and consolidation of Weekly Process Report.
• Validation and consolidation of Quarterly Process Report.
• Validation and consolidation Monthly Chemical Consumption Report.
• Validation and consolidation of Monthly KWh Consumption Report.
• Monthly Lab & Process Budget.
• Monthly Report submitted to the Client.
• Yearly Plant Performance Report.
• Report of non-conformities (if any).

Must be available to handle emergency situations after hours, weekends and holidays.

• Vision: See in the near visual range with or without correction; the ability to see details at close range, color vision to identify chemical and biological solvents and substances.
• Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
• Deductive Reasoning: The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
